Global Freight Management Manager
Job Description:
Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Global Freight Management Manager:
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead annual and ad-hoc freight negotiations with ocean carriers and freight forwarders to achieve cost and service objectives.
- Develop and implement global and regional freight procurement strategies across multiple trade lanes.
- Manage carrier relationships, allocation strategies, and contract governance to ensure operational effectiveness and service reliability.
- Monitor market trends, freight rate movements, and supply chain risks to support forecasting and business continuity planning initiatives.
- Establish, track, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), including volume forecasting, cost performance, and service compliance.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment on logistics strategies and business priorities.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and performance evaluations with logistics partners and carriers.
- Identify and implement cost optimisation and process improvement initiatives across regional and global logistics operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team capabilities to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in global logistics procurement, ocean freight contracting, or shipping management.
- Experience managing regional or global freight portfolios is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of shipping operations, logistics processes, and global container market dynamics.
- Proven experience in carrier management, freight negotiations, and commercial rate structures.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing regional or cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Willingness to travel and support global operations across different time zones when required.
Additional Information:
- Salary: Up to SGD 8,170 +AWS +VB (1 Month)
- Working Location: Bedok
- Working Hours: 6 Days Work, 9am - 6pm
